Biden and the Intelligence Surrounding Khashoggi’s Death Posted on February 28, 2021 by Cyril Presidential candidate Joe Biden had criticized Donald Trump’s handling of the Khashoggi murder. American intelligence confirmed that the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) himself gave the order for the assasination. After Khashoggi’s assasination, Trump resisted pressure to sanction the Saudis, citing $450 Billion in investment from Saudi Arabia. As a result the American government intelligence was never made public. Biden has released the intelligence report but has stopped short (so far) to directly punish the Crown Prince.
